This Privacy Policy explains how Dropt ("Dropt", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our website, desktop application, and related services (together, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

• Information you give us. Your name, email address, and phone number when you join the waitlist or create an account, and any details you add to your profile.
• Content you create. The prompts you write, the tools you build, and the data and settings you save inside those tools.
• Screen and page context. When you ask Dropt for help on a page, the app may capture the relevant page content or a screenshot so it can understand what you are working on. This happens in response to your request, not silently in the background.
• Payment information. If you subscribe to a paid plan, payments are processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store full card numbers; we receive limited billing details and subscription status.
• Usage and device data. Basic technical information such as app version, device and operating system, and how you interact with the Service, used to keep it working and improve it.

How we use your information

• To provide, operate, and improve the Service.
• To generate the tools and assistance you ask for.
• To manage your account, plan, and usage.
• To communicate with you about the Service, including waitlist and product updates (and marketing where you have agreed to receive it).
• To protect the Service against abuse, fraud, and security issues.
• To meet legal obligations.

AI processing

To build tools and answer requests, your prompts and the relevant page or screen context may be sent to third-party AI providers (for example, OpenAI) that process them on our behalf to generate a result. We send only what is needed to fulfil your request. We do not sell your content, and we ask our providers not to use it to train their models where that option is available.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the Service, under contracts that require them to protect it, including:

• Hosting and database providers (for example, Supabase and our web host).
• AI providers that process prompts and context to generate results.
• Payment processing (Stripe).
• Analytics and communication tools we may use to operate the Service.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Dropt, our users, or others, and in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, then for any period required to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@usedropt.com. If you are in the EEA, UK, or California, additional rights under the GDPR or CCPA may apply.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

International transfers

We and our providers may process your information in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
